North Warwickshire Borough Council has taken the first tentative steps towards agreeing a long-term lease of Sheepy Road with the new bosses of Atherstone Town Community Football Club.

A tenancy at will between the two parties will be drawn up allowing the football club to use the council-owned pitch and facilities.

Notts University Mens Fours 2 v 6 Atherstone Adders Mens Firsts

It was Martin Webb's turn to score a hat-trick this week as Atherstone Adders Mens Firsts maintained their 100 percent record in the League and cruised past a spirited Notts Uni side. There were also goals from Ben Matthews, Cameron Hobbs and Alex Kotlarzewski as the Adders scored six goals for the second week in a row.

Atherstone Adders' Mens First and Second teams were in action for the first league games of the season this weekend. The newly-promoted first team were lining up in the East Midlands Premier for the first team, against a determined Sikh Union Firsts. Whilst the seconds of both clubs lined up against each other in what was also to prove a tough match for the Atherstone outfit.
