Premier Education have announced this week that it will be running a new project in Atherstone called 'Premier Education - Active Tutoring' for unemployed women of the town and the surrounding areas.
The project is part of the European Social Fund (ESF) Community Grants programme that gives funding to small organisations in the voluntary and community sector to support unemployed and inactive individuals.
The programme is funded by the ESF and Education Skills Agency, and led by community charity, Groundwork.
Each week, local unemployed women will have the chance to take part in fun, active sports sessions as well as have the opportunity to learn new skills with workshops on health and safety, first aid, safeguarding, equality and diversity, autism awareness and more!
The Active Tutors will work closely with the participants to give them the best opportunity to move into employment or training with interview preparation and support.
The project will also be providing healthy snacks each week as well as the chance to socialise and relax in a safe, secure environment.
Premier Education's Active Tutoring will run for six months and begin the week of 11 January 2021. More information will be released in the coming weeks.
