A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after a serious assault in Witherley on Friday night (25 Sept).

The teenager, from Nuneaton, was arrested yesterday evening (Tues) in connection with the incident.

He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Yesterday 18-year-old Jay White, of Croft Road, also Nuneaton, appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court after he was charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm.

He was bailed pending an appearance at Leicester Crown Court on 2 November.

Two other people - a 17-year-old youth and a 21-year-old man - who were also arrested in connection with the incident were released with no further action.
