HIB CELEBRATES COVETED BATHROOM INDUSTRY AWARD WITH 'VOICE OF THE BALLS' MAKING WINNING ANNOUNCEMENT

TITLES KEEP ON COMING FOR INNOVATIVE SUPPLIERS WITH BUCKINGHAM PALACE AMONG ITS ADMIRERS

ATHERSTONE and North Warwickshire employees at a company with the reputation as UK's leading bathroom accessory brand could have been forgiven for thinking they'd scooped the National Lottery this week.

For Voice of the Balls programme announcer Alan Dedicoat read out the name of leading supplier HiB as winning another top drawer accolade – just three months after receiving royal recognition.

HiB, with its national distribution centre at Birch Coppice Business Park, has taken the coveted title of Best Accessory Brand at this year's Bathroom and Kitchen Update Awards.

Workers from the company's Dordon centre and London head office joined businesses across the UK to attend the awards, which were held online as part of a virtual ceremony.

A key calendar date for the bathroom industry, this year was the first time that they were streamed over the internet as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak.

The ceremony was hosted by the former BBC Radio 2 news presenter 'Deadly' Dedicoat – a regular on the Terry Wogan and Chris Evans breakfast shows – with each winner announced individually from a shortlist of nominations.

Each category of the BKU awards is voted for by bathroom industry professionals, making them particularly special for businesses that win.

HiB's latest achievement recognises the firm's proud record of developing new products with a "wow factor something which brought it the Queen's Awards for Enterprise in the innovation category in April.

This new award will be showcased at the company's distribution centre alongside other prestigious accolades that the company has won, during the past 30 years of a business steeped in providing innovative mirrors, cabinets and bathroom accessories.
