Building work is entering a final phase at Bellway's Barley Fields development, in Tamworth.

The house-builder is providing 314 homes at the development, off Ashby Road, with 227 properties for private sale and 87 affordable homes available for local people through rent or shared ownership.

Almost 200 of the private homes have now been sold at the development and there are just 29 homes remaining for sale in total, including the show-homes at the development.

Construction work is set to finish next year, when Bellway anticipates the last residents will have moved in.

A new primary school, funded in part by Bellway alongside its housing development in Tamworth, is also going to be completed and opened for the next school term in September 2021.

Marie Richards, Sales Director of Bellway West Midlands, said: "We are pleased with the progress of construction at Barley Fields and are now on track to finish work here by next year."
