The funeral arrangement for Cllr Dawn Downes who sadly passed away last week have been announced.

Cllr Downes passed away in hospital last Thursday.

She was described as "a great force for positivity, change and engagement" by the Director of George Eliot Hospital where she worked as a theatre nurse.

Cllr Downes' funeral will be held Wednesday, March 17, at The Heart of England Crematorium in Nuneaton.

For obvious reasons only her family can attend the service.

However, should you wish to pay tribute to Cllr Downes' memory details of the cortege's procession have also been announced.

They will leave Erdington Road at 9.15am, heading towards the council offices via Coleshill Road.

The cortege should reach George Eliot hospital by 9.45am having passed Outwoods Primary School en route.

Those who wish to are invited to make a donation for Atherstone Foodbank in Cllr Downes' memory via M G Evans & Sons on Long Street.
