A homeless man has been accused of going on a four-day burglary spree starting in Atherstone and criss-crossing Warwickshire and into the West Midlands, a court heard.

Anthony Connors, 21, of no fixed abode, was charged with five counts of burglary this week.

He appeared at Leamington Magistrates' Court yesterday where he was remanded in custody with another hearing scheduled for March 12 at Warwick Crown Court.

It follows a number of incidents in Atherstone, Gun Hill in Coventry, Stretton-on-Dunsmore, Leamington Spa and Coleshill between September 23 and 26 last year.
