A better engagement for young offenders with education, training and employment has been flagged up as one of the key areas of the latest Warwickshire Youth Justice Plan.

A breeder of rare horses has been granted permission to build a stable block and manège in a field in Baddesley Ensor.

Owners of three properties near the site had objected on various grounds including increased traffic, the impact on nearby listed buildings, pollution, smell and vermin issues but the plans were given unanimous support at this week's meeting of North Warwickshire Borough Council's planning board.

Demonstrators left a rucksack on the steps of Shire Hall yesterday for every child "failed" by Warwickshire County Council's special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) services.

Parents and carers from across Warwickshire gathered outside the county council headquarters in Warwick to share their dissatisfaction with the way their children have been treated by local services.
