Reopening Atherstone salon says 'hair do' by giving away a fabulous prize that will last a whole year
12 MONTHS OF FREE HAIRDRESSING AWAITS WINNER OF NEW IMAGES' ONLINE CONTEST
'WE WANTED TO THANK OUR CUSTOMERS FOR WAITING SO LONG UNDER LOCKDOWN'
BUSINESS ALSO WELCOMES A NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH MARKETING EXECUTIVE LAURA HOGAN JOINING BELINDA LODGE
AN ATHERSTONE salon wants the town to "celebrate" its reopening from Covid-19 lockdown – by winning a whole year of free hairdressing.
For one lucky contestant will come away with the star prize in an online competition worth more than £500 from New Images Hair Design.
The Long Street business, which has been serving the town for more than half a century, started back on July 4 along with other salons, pubs, clubs and restaurants in an easing of coronavirus restrictions.
Customers have been met with a number of changes, post lockdown, which include new screens between the seats, only two stylists at any one time in the salon and a maximum of people for appointments on the premises.
Staff at the salon are wearing visors and customers are being offered the option of wearing masks.
And that's not all that's 'new' at New Images.
While the salon was closed, owner Belinda Lodge – who's been at the shop for 30 years – was joined in partnership by Laura Hogan in May.
Ms Hogan, who runs the JellyBean marketing agency, said the idea behind the competition was a joyous recognition the salon was open again.
She told Nub News: "We wanted to celebrate. We know how much people had been looking forward to our return.
"And we also wanted to thank customers for being loyal and waiting so long."
Those wanting to enter the competition – with an entire year of free hairdressing – should click here.
You'll need to hurry as the contest closes tomorrow night (July 16), but there's no restriction on how many times you can enter.

Meanwhile, Monday saw beauty salons, nail bars and tattoo shops allowed to open for the first time in four months as part of the latest relaxation of lockdown restrictions in England.
Spas, massage studios and physical therapy businesses are also able to welcome customers again.
But businesses will be required to meet coronavirus guidelines, and restrictions on treatments which involve work directly in front of the face will not be available.
Government guidance states that face waxing, eyelash treatments, make-up application and facials should not be provided because of the greater risk of Covid-19 transmission.
