Staff at leading bathroom supplier HiB, have been getting into the festive spirit by taking part in the Operation Christmas Child project, organised by the Samaritan's Purse Charity.

Shoeboxes brimming with gifts have been filled by staff members across HiB's Head Offices in London and Tamworth-based distribution centre, ready to be delivered to the charitable organisation, which ships the donations across the world to give to children who otherwise might not receive a gift at Christmas.

It is the second year that HiB has taken part in the project, with many employees thinking of creative and fun items to be sent in each box, which is specifically labelled for a boy or girl across different age ranges.

Keeley Morgan, Inventory Manager at HiB, delivered the shoeboxes to the charity collection point.

Keeley said: "Christmas is the season of goodwill and at HiB we wanted to do what we could to make sure that as many families as possible receive a gift this year.

"The Operation Christmas Child project is a fantastic opportunity to reach those less fortunate across the world and spread some festive cheer.

"It has been great to see all the shoeboxes being delivered to the offices, filled with toys and games, ready to be sent to the charity who transport them to their final destinations.

"This year we've filled loads of shoeboxes with gifts and a thank you to all the staff from across HiB who have given generously to the cause."

Since 1990, Samaritan's Purse, along with the help of businesses and families across the world, have delivered gifts to more than 178 million disadvantaged children in over 160 countries.

Robert Ginsberg, Managing Director at HiB said: "Supporting others, whether that's locally in the community or taking part in an international project, is hugely important to all of us at HiB.

"At all times, but particularly at this time of year, it is vital to help to help those less fortunate and the support and generosity from everyone who has taken part in the Operation Christmas Child project at HiB has been wonderful to see."
