Further £1.3m funding for Atherstone families receiving free school meals

Over £1.3 million has been made available for Atherstone families facing financial worries whilst schools remain closed.
Warwickshire County Council has been allocated funds from the Department for Work and Pensions' Covid Local Support Grant.
Money will be given to families eligible for benefits related to free school meals as well as others in need of support whilst schools are closed for summer to ensure that people who are struggling have the support they need for food, essential items, and utilities.
This is the fifth instalment of the grant.
A Warwickshire parent in receipt of help from the scheme said: "The Local Welfare Scheme is offering a brilliant and amazing service, which really helps families like mine."
