WEEKEND WATCH TAKES WHISTLESTOP LOOK AT WHAT'S IN STORE FROM THE GUSTY TO THE GREY

WEATHER PREDICTIONS FOR NEXT FOUR DAYS FROM FRIDAY THROUGH TO MONDAY

WELCOME to Friday Fourcast – the title's the giveaway to a whistlestop look at the weather over the weekend and into Monday.

It gives you a chance to plan your next four days, especially with Storm Ellen and tropical tempest Kyle about at the moment.

The Met Office has issued yellow wind warnings, with the potential for disruptive gusts as experienced by this morning's power cuts across the district caused by a fallen tree bringing down the electricity lines.

The unseasonably deep Atlantic low-pressure system brought very strong winds and impacts across the island of Ireland, with power cuts and reports of roads blocked by fallen trees in Northern Ireland. Wind speeds of 79mph were reported in Capel Curig, north Wales.

But Atherstone Nub News is bringing you a more localised weather service which you can access from our news platform any time.

So here goes with our second Friday Fourcast:

FRIDAY: Nearly all the seasons in one today – minus the hail. Disruptive gusts of wind, sharp showers, odd glance of the sun and plenty of cloud. Not feeling that warm at 19C.

SATURDAY: Sun spend most of its time behind the clouds and Good chance of rain between mid-day and 6pm. Strong winds.

SUNDAY: Calmer day of two halves with dry and bright morning and wet afternoon (from 3pm) and evening. Temperature might reach 18C

MONDAY: Winds easing with little to recommend the day (weather wise). Cloudy start, getting worse and wetter from lunchtime. A coolish 20C.
