Stuck in the middle: Breezy does it for Atherstone with large blob of rain forecast

Welcome to the midweek #RiseAndShine feature for lovers of your new Nub News.

Unlike Wednesday's forecast, we hope it will be bit of bright breeze into your day.

Commuters heading to and from the Atherstone district this morning can "guarantee" to be met with a chilly mixture of rain – and the threat of hail and sleet.

A cold night – without freezing – will continue into the morning rush-hour with temperatures of only 2C (36 Fahrenheit in old money).

Expect scattered showers until midday with temperatures reaching a maximum of 6C (43F). as a big blob of rain lurks over the area.

Thursday could feel even colder with sleet showers greeting the morning rush hour and temperatures struggling to climb above 3 Celsius (37F) by 10am.

The weekend may be very close by Friday but expect more rain in the evening and into Saturday.

Happy days, whatever you're doing.
