NOW'S THE CHANCE TO SAVE MONEY ON GAS AND ELECTRICITY BILLS THIS AUTUMN

WHY WOULDN'T YOU WANT TO BE PART OF A COLLECTIVE CAMPAIGN WHICH HAS SAVED RESIDENTS £1.27m?

RESIDENTS in Atherstone and district have the chance to tap into a £1 million money-saving campaign that also helps the climate.

Now in its eighth year, it's the opportunity to see energy bills cut back as part of a collective bargaining tool.

To date, the county council has helped householders to save more than £1.27 million through Switch and Save Warwickshire.

This week the authority opened its eighth energy switch, continuing to partner iChoosr to secure the best deals.

Atherstone and North Warwickshire can now register before the auction, which takes place on October 6.

Those who reigster will be given a personalised offer showing how much can be saved by switching. Once happy with the deal they can then proceed and switch suppliers, totally free of charge.

More than 17,000 households across the county have already registered and saved a combined amount of £1,270,381 on their gas and electricity bills.

In recent years, some of the winning suppliers have offered 100 per cent renewable energy giving residents peace of mind when considering their environmental footprint. This trend is set to continue with this year's participants agreeing to supply renewable electricity this October.

The amount of money that can be saved will vary depending on tariff, payment method, consumption and the winning bid.

And the Warwickshire authority admits there is no guarantee that an offer will be the "cheapest", but the model aims to ensure the majority of those taking part are offered lower annual energy bills than they are on currently.
