When Joanne Betteridge used to go to shows at the NEC showing furnishings and decor products, she never dreamed that she would one day be opening her own store.

The online business, called Sheepy Interiors, has been trading for 3 - 4 weeks and has already attracted the attention of Atherstone locals.

She has made sure to source her products from local sellers, and make the most of connections to IT experts and print-makers. Her husband designs her website, which you can view here.

Her daughter, Mollie, creates custom-drawn prints as part of her own business, and has created a 'Silly Cow' image for the rustic, 'cosy farmhouse' style of Joanne's taste.

Chic gifts are available at reasonable prices, which Joanne has "waited years" to bring to life. She told the Nub that she was inspired by other locals who were doing the same thing, and she thought, "I can do what she's doing," to herself one day.

At the height of the pandemic, she felt spurred on to do something "different", as the effects of COVID-19 forced her out of her comfort-zone.

Atherstone locals have been privately messaging her to tell her they're "really pleased" with the products, and it's easy to see why.

The products follow a grey-washed, industrial theme and a particularly popular item has been one of silver trees resting on wooden blocks.

Her husband, who is always "tweaking" the website, adds products weekly to the range, which Joanne hand-picks with great taste, and the locals in mind.
